The Child Dental Benefit Schedule (CDBS) provides access to a range of services for children between the ages of 2 and 17 years. These services include examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals and extractions, and patients have access of a benefit cap of $1000 over a two year period. The CDBS has a means test, which requires receipt of Family Tax Benefit Part A or a relevant Australian Government payment.
